Chester Comedy Festival – Terms and Conditions
Please note that tickets for the Reginald D Hunter show at Storyhouse are subject to separate terms and conditions which can be found on the Storyhouse website.
It is a condition of entry that ticket holders agree not to photograph, film, record or stream any part of the performance. Anyone found to be doing so will be asked to leave and will not be granted re-entry.
Chester Comedy Festival is a customer focused entertainment event. We believe that comedy comes first and is best enjoyed by a respectful audience. Please note the following:-
- All seating is unreserved. If you have any accessibility requirements please refer to the “Accessibility” section below.
- Please, mobile phones must be switched off or silenced throughout the performances.
- Please, no talking during performances – people have come to listen to the comedians not you.
- Please, no persistent heckling – If you don’t like the act, let others enjoy it and come and see us afterwards.
- The bar will be closed during all performances – You will be given lots of notice before the start of the performance and during the interval so that you can replenish your refreshments.
- Doors open 1hr (or as advertised) before the scheduled performance starts. Once a performance has commenced late admission is not guaranteed and will be at the discretion of the management at the time.
Anyone who we consider is persistently disrupting the performance in any way will be asked to leave without a refund.
The reselling of tickets is strictly forbidden. Only tickets sold through official channels will be honoured on the night.
We operate a print-at-home system so you will be able to run your tickets off from your confirmation email. There is a booking fee applied to all tickets.
We can’t offer any refunds or exchanges unless the event has been cancelled or postponed. Please check your booking thoroughly before confirming the payment because once it has gone through, the tickets are yours.
We never advertise events or performers unless a firm booking has been made with the appropriate agents/performers. Due to unforeseen operational problems it may sometimes be impossible to present the advertised acts. This can be due to many reasons including sickness, travel disruption etc. We reserve the right to provide as near as possible replacement comedians and the show will go on.
Chester Comedy Festival uses a number of local venues, theatres, hotels, restaurants, etc for its shows.
All venue seating is unreserved, if you have any special requirements please contact us via the website in advance and we will do our utmost to accommodate you. We regret that accessible seating for people with disabilities is limited in some venues. We want our less able customers to enjoy our shows without barriers. If this means you need a carer to accompany you to an event, we may be able to accommodate this at our discretion at no additional charge subject to availability and appropriate supporting documentation.
Please contact us before purchasing your ticket to ensure your needs can be accommodated. You can open a contact form by clicking here
The Comedy Crawls involve travelling as a group on foot between pre-selected “mystery” venues. A feature of the event is to visit some of the less well known Chester pubs. Some of these venues can be small and have limited access. In some of the smaller venues it can be standing room only. We regret that these events may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
Children and Young People at the Comedy Festival
Where permitted children and young people (under 18) must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times. No unaccompanied children or young people will be admitted to any of the events.
Minimum ages for shows are for guidance only. It is the responsibility of the supervising adult to ensure the show is suitable for the children or young people attending. Shows rated PG may contain strong language and adult content.
Privacy and Data Protection
We reserve the right to take photographs and/or videos at any of our events and to use these images in any appropriate manner for publicity purposes including posting on social media channels. These images may include images of members of our audiences including children and young people. If for any reason you cannot be filmed, please advise a member of staff at the earliest opportunity.
